Our dear friend, musical artist Tim Krekel passed away on June 24 at the age of 58. His career would later span the globe and include playing guitar for Jimmy Buffet and writing chart-topping hits for the likes of Martina McBride, Patty Loveless and Crystal Gayle. During his long musical career he lived in New York City and Nashville but the love for his hometown brought him back to Louisville to stay in 1993. His incredible talent and loving personality made him a true Louisville icon. Tim has been a true friend and supporter of Art in Speed Park . He loved playing at the show each year. We will miss him greatly. In celebration of Tim, we dedicate the show in his memory. |
