Through our sponsor's generosity, Art in Speed Park has brought the Fine Arts and Southern Indiana into the spotlight by showcasing fine visual arts and exceptional music talents.
An Art in Speed Park Scholarship fund is now a reality, honoring outstanding students with concentrations in arts and culture. Speed Park is home to a spectacular bandstand that was built for our community to enjoy for years to come. As a valued sponsor - your generous contributions go far beyond providing an incredible weekend event, you are investing in a future filled with art!
Here's how you can help ...
You may lend your support to the general art show fund. This is vital in financing our advertising, entertainment, scholarship fund, town beautification projects as well as general operating expenses for the art show.
General fund contributions go to financing and nurturing Art in Speed Park. Your company name will be listed on a large sign at Art in Speed Park during the weekend of August 29 - 30, as well as on our web site and in our brochures.
The Purchase Award Program has been highly successful, benefiting both regional businesses and the artists. Purchase Awards guarantee the artists that purchases and a successful weekend are assured. If you choose to be a Purchase Award sponsor, please mail your check for your desired amount of purchase. Visit the show on Saturday, August 29 between the hours of 10:00 - 5:00 to browse the booths, and select the artwork in the amount of your donation. You may take your artwork with you. We write each artist whose work was selected a check in the amount spent. Our team will be at the information booth to assist you. Purchase Award monies go directly to the artists. If a representative from your company is unable to attend, your check will be considered a donation to the Art in Speed Park fund.

Mandy Summitt receives Art in Speed Park Scholarship
Mandy Summitt is the recipient of the annual Art in Speed Park Scholarship Award which honors graduating seniors that have displayed outstanding talent in the fine arts, and are active in community events supporting the arts.
"We are proud to present this year's scholarship to Mandy; she has been so generous in giving of her own time and talents to the community" said Kim Johnson, the show's Director. Johnson went on to say that Mandy is a tremendous artist with a natural ability. "The future of the fine arts lays in the hands of our fine young people, like Mandy’Äù said Johnson.
Mandy is a recent graduate of Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, and plans to continue her education with concentrations in arts and culture. You can see examples of Mandy’Äôs work at Art in Speed Park , held on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24 from 10:00 ’Äì 5:00 both days. Art in Speed Park is held in Speed Park located in Sellersburg; nearby parking at Silver Creek High School is encouraged.
